Are You Eligible for the PMI-RMP® Exam?

You can qualify for the PMI-RMP® exam through one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • If you hold a high school diploma or equivalent:
    You’ll need 3 years (36 months) of risk management experience within the past 5 years, plus 40 hours of formal training.

  • If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher:
    You’ll need 2 years (24 months) of risk management experience within the past 5 years, along with 30 hours of formal training.

  • If your bachelor’s degree is from a GAC-accredited program:
    Just 1 year (12 months) of risk management experience within the past 5 years, plus 30 hours of risk training is required.

This self-paced course satisfies the 30-hour education requirement for degree holders and GAC graduates.
