Are You Eligible for the PMI-PBA® Exam?
To apply for the PMI-PBA® certification, you must meet one of the following combinations of education, experience, and training:
If you hold a secondary degree (such as a high school diploma or associate’s degree):
➤ You’ll need 60 months (5 years) of business analysis experience within the last 8 years
➤ Plus 35 contact hours of formal business analysis educationIf you have a bachelor’s degree or higher:
➤ You’ll need 36 months (3 years) of business analysis experience within the last 8 years
➤ Plus 35 contact hours of formal business analysis educationIf you graduated from a GAC-accredited program (bachelor’s or master’s level):
➤ You’ll need 24 months (2 years) of unique, non-overlapping business analysis experience
➤ Plus 35 contact hours of formal education
This course fulfills the 35-hour education requirement for both pathways.
